The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is the older of the two Corgi breeds, distinguished by their long tail. Versatile, affectionate, and full of personality, they are loyal companions with a big-dog spirit.

Historia

One of the oldest herding breeds in Britain, brought to Wales by Celtic tribes around 1200 BC. Named after Cardiganshire, Wales. Used for cattle herding. Distinguished from Pembroke by longer tail and larger ears. AKC recognized in 1935.

Apariencia

A low-set, long-bodied dog with large, rounded ears and a long, fox-like tail. Sturdy, powerful build despite short legs. Intelligent, alert expression. Comes in more colors than the Pembroke.
