Adoption Requirements

To make sure our dogs find safe, loving forever homes, we ask that adopters meet the following:

A fenced yard (chain-link is fine), depending on the dog.
This is usually required for adult dogs; puppies may be considered case by case.
The fence allows dogs to run freely and safely.
We do not place dogs in homes where they will be kept on a chain.

A short video of the yard or area where the dog will live.

Home ownership, or if renting, written confirmation that pets are allowed.

Long-term commitment is essential, especially for expats.
If you move within Panama or to another country, your dog must go with you.
We want homes that are truly forever, not temporary.

Minimum age: 30 years old.

Copy of a recent water or electricity bill from your current residence.

Copy of your ID (passport or cédula).

Stable income to comfortably cover food, veterinary care, and general needs.

Adoption fee: $50 USD, plus a large bag of dog food donated to the shelter.
All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed.

All household members must agree to adopting a dog.

Signed adoption agreement required.
